Photo Friday-Headache on the Hill

This picture was taken last year at Headache on the Hill, an annual lobbying event on Capitol Hill for migraine research. This coming Monday and Tuesday will be the 10th year advocates, patients, caregivers and headache specialists will descend upon the Hill to make sure our voice is heard.
Pictured with me are Dr. Carrie Doherty, Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA), Dr. Mahan Chehrenama. Little did we know that a few months later the Senator would be named as a vice presidential running mate. Dr. Doherty and Dr. Chehrenama are perfect partners to stomp with. As the day gets later and I’m on my fifth meeting, they can tell when my brain hurts and step in at the perfect time if I get tongue-tied.
